Privacy policy
Taara Tales is made for families, so we collect as little as possible. The data controller is Powergroup Norway LTD (company number 12671407, registered office 53 Cornwall Avenue, Southall, UB1 2TE, England). Contact: support@taaratales.app.
What stays on your device
Your child's name, look, skin tone, family members, the names you give them and the activities you tick off are stored only on your phone, tablet or computer. We do not upload them to our servers.
What we receive
- When you buy on the website: Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, processes your payment. We receive your email address, the country, the book you bought and an order number, so we can unlock your book and help you if something goes wrong. We never see your card details. - When you buy in the app: Google Play processes the payment and tells the app which books you own. See Google's privacy policy.
- To open your books on more than one device: your email address and a list of your purchases.
- When you email us: your message and email address, to answer you.
What we do not do
- No advertising inside the app or the books, and no advertising trackers.
- We do not sell or share your data for marketing.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Accounts and purchases are for adults.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase records as long as you have access to your books and as long as tax law requires (usually six years). Support emails are deleted after two years.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, and object to how we use it. Email support@taaratales.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority where you live.
